Mauna Kea Fairways South | Wai'ula'ula at Mauna Kea Resort

The Mauna Kea Resort has two of the world's most beautiful beaches at Kauna'oa Bay and Hapuna Bay. Clear turquoise waters, white sand beachs and snow capped Mauna Kea (winter) in the background.

Take a morning swim or snorkeling over the rainbow-colored reefs. You can also enjoy a leisurely afternoon of golf or tennis. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is closed until 2008 due to remodeling and repairs from the October 2006 earthquake. The beach is still open with the restaurant, bar, and beach attendants providing towels and lounge chairs (for those with guest cards). The Hapuna golf course and the Mauna Kea tennis courts are both open. The Mauna Kea golf course is closed until the Fall of 2008. This is a great opportunity to come and enjoy the resort without the crowds.

Mauna Kea Golf Course (due to reopen late 2008) This historic course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and is a favorite. The spectacular 3rd hole tees off from an ocean bluff over a small bay of crashing waves separating the tee from the green. Call (808) 882-5400 for more information.

Hapuna Prince Golf Course Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, it features dramatic elevation changes and panoramic views of the mountain and ocean. Both golf courses rank in the top 100 resort courses in the world. Call (808) 880-3000 for more information.

Hapuna Prince Fitness Center A complete workout facilityy with a cardio room, a weight room with both free and Life Cycle machine weights. Exercise classes include pilates, yoga, aqua-fit, ball-core, step and sculpt, spinning, weighted workout, and turbo-kick.  Also enjoy a steam, sauna, massage, and full shower facilities.
